Beginning this project was the same as the tank. Using a single object to make something more complex, however, my symmetry tool broke midway through. I did like how much more editing and customizing this project allowed than from the tank project. The easiest part of this project was making the basic shape, the hardest was working without the symmetry tool working properly. Its useful to know this as it shaves off a lot of time being able to create custom objects with just 1 part. my knowledge of 3d modeling helped me work past the technical problems I ran into. The lesson would be better sim my SYMMETRY TOOL DIDNT MESS UP.

I began with a simple box and ended with a not so simpler box. I quite like making the tank, I like tanks so I just enjoyed the entire project. The easiest part was making the basic parts of the tank, like the turret and the treads. The hardest part was adding the details, like the ears or the small indentations for the treads. This will be useful later because now I don't need to keep making objects to make something and just use one. It makes me realize how simple 3d modeling actually is once you get to know everything. I think what would make this lesson better is maybe trying to make different types of tanks, not just the one.
My second project ever using 3ds max. Our goal was to make a snowman and a pencil using only primitives or basic shapes. For the snowman, I do like how it came out, I was able to make the size of each body relative to the other which I think makes it look cleaner than just making it smaller. However, I want to improve on the eyes and mouth. The one eye sticks out farther than the other and then the other has a bigger pupil. The mouth just being a square looks weird to me, but I didn't know what else to do. I really like the top hat thought. For the pencil, I really can't say much. It looks like a pencil. Overall happy with it, maybe the lead could be a bit shorter, but its just to simple for me to really find any improvement.
For my very first assignment ever using 3D Studio Max, I'm not to disappointed. I was able to get a hang of all the different tools offered and how to create basic shapes and animation which came out ok! There are a few things I want to edit thought. First is the speed/framerate of both balls. In the video, you can see the first ball coming at you very clearly, however the second one going from the other sides of the intersection only appears for one frame due to how fast it is going, instead of "rolling" across the street like it's supposed to. I would like to also see if I could make it "roll" instead of just glide across the street using texture and lighting, but for my first time ever doing this, I can't be mad.
